Whaley Tames "Miles the Monster" For His Second Win!!!
The race at Dover FLEWWW by, as 100 laps just ticked by like time was standing still. The 100 lap Feature was ran in under 54 minutes including 13 laps of caution. The racing action started off by Anderson and Whaley going at it for fast time. But it would be Anderson at the end of Qualifying grabbing fast time with a lap of 22.888. Terry Walters shocked the crowd to take the Dash win. Steven Lefler hunted down Jeff Dotson to take his 1st heat win of the season. Tony Bowling and Justin Anderson broke away in heat 2, with Bowling getting the win.
The Feature saw 11 lead changes with 7 different drivers taking the point. Whaley would lead 43 of the 100 laps with Andrew Mraz and Tony Bowling leading 17. Dennis Brasfield paced the field for 16 circuits ,as Walters, Dotson and Anderson would also lead the field to the line. This marks Whaley's 2nd win of the season, trailing Anderson (3) for the most wins. The points battle is extremely tight, and looks to remain that way for the remaining 3 races with Whaley leading Bowling by 4. Next week the boys are off to The Tricky Triangle of Pocono.
