Anderson Doubles Down On Vegas!!!

Anderson In Victory Lane In Vegas!

Gamblers were out in droves for the Vegas 100 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday night. Some previous Champions and Drivers returned to the track from days gone by. It was an impressive turn out for The Sure Fire Racing Boys! Matthew Quick flew to the top of the charts in Practice with a time of 29.879. But once again, Justin Anderson would grab the pole with a time of 29.854. This was his 3rd straight pole of the season. In fact, he is the only pole winner in this young season so far.

The race went rather smoothly even though the drivers were all complaining that the cars were tight. Welcome to the Vegas heat baby! There were only 2 cautions in the race. The first one flew on lap 27 when the #71 Skoal machine of Monty Selsor, lost it out of 2 and collected the #46 of Jim Whaley Jr. The last caution would be of the #07 of Michael Farmer losing it. This race would fly by because of just these 2 yellows. The race would run just at 1 hour, with Anderson dominating the lap count, with 99 out of 100 being led. Matt Quick in his #89 Squatty Potty Chevy, had one of his best races to date, stunning the field with a very solid 2nd place finish. He gave Anderson all he could handle just falling 3/4's of a second behind. Last weeks winner Tony Bowling would have to settle for a 3rd place finish. Newcomer Shawn Brown ran an impressive 4th, while Monty Selsor would round out the top 5. Next week the boys are off to the sunny state of Florida to visit Homestead for another exciting race. As always......Race ya there!

Winner: Justin Anderson

2nd: Matt Quick

3rd: Tony Bowling

4th: Shawn Brown

5th: Monty Selsor
