Kuzma Tatttoo's The Field!!!

Week 7 of the Sure Fire Racing League Langley Track Championship saw threatening weather that kept several drivers in the safety of their shops but those that made the trip were treated to some great short track racing.

Charlie Kuzma led Happy Hour with a time of 14.812 followed by Eric Nordhoff with a time of 14.836. Qualifying saw Kuzma put his #113 on pole with a time of 14.785 and although he pulled into the pits late Michael Allen quickly discovered the fast way around and put his #59 on the outside front row with a 15.029 lap.

When the green flag flew over the field Kuzma quickly established himself as the dominant force as he quickly planted the #113 into the lead. Nordhoff was able to take advantage of his inside row 2 starting position and get under Allen before he could close the door. Clifton Cockrell would slot into the the 4th position and begin to apply pressure to Allen for 3rd. On lap 30 that work paid off as he was able to move his #29 into the 3rd spot. The lack of practice would catch up with Allen as he would lose the handle on his #59 on 3 occasions off of turn 2 before calling it a night. Certainly his team will go to work this week and find the root cause of his ill handling machine.

Kuzma had set sail and the only driver that stood in the way of victory was Charlie himself and he tested that scenario on lap 95 when he brushed the wall and allowed Nordhoff a brief moment of optimism but the damage was only cosmetic and Kuzma finished the caution free wire to wire victory in style.

1. #113 Charlie Kuzma

2. #22 Eric Nordhoff

3. # 29 Clifton Cockrell

4. #44 Jay Harned

5. #33 Mark Koschik
