Anderson Plucks And Picks Best!!!

14 cars rolled off for the Banjo pluck'n Nose pick'n 125 at Kentucky, and Charlie Kuzma rolled off 1st under the lights for what would be a great night of racing. Justin Anderson started 2nd, with Clifton Cockrell 3rd, but on the break into turn 1, both were able to clear Justin Anderson, while further back, John Estes makes a great save mid-pack to avert disaster for him and half the field. Justin Anderson and TJ Christ would get past Cockrell and slowly reel in the leader, with the two of them passing Charlie on lap 14, putting R-n-J cars 1-2. Further back, Trevor Malone would climb from his 8th place starting spot into the top 5 by lap 20, with Jim Whaley Jr likewise climbing from 11th to 5th 10 laps later

A caution interrupted green flag pit stops on lap 42, when Kuzma lost the back end in turn 3 and made contact with the wall. He was able to continue, but during the ensuing caution, TJ Christ's ignition box cut out, and he went two laps down before the team was able to get his car refired and back on track. Trevor Malone in the 85 car led the field back to the green flag, but there was another quick caution as Kuzma clips the apron and spins again, thankfully avoiding disaster.

Another restart, with Malone again up front, but Anderson gets a great run on the outside and jumps to the lead in turns 1 and 2. Going into 3, Michael Waters gets sideways but makes a great save, dropping from 3rd to 8th but keeping his car in one piece. On lap 72, Mark McFadden clips the right rear of Terry Walters' car, turning him into the outside wall, but both cars were able to continue, with Terry staying on the lead lap. This set up a long run to the finish, with Anderson leading the field to the green on lap 75, with Cliff Cockrell second, Waters 3rd, Palmer 4th, and Malone 5th. Cockrell quickly scoots around the outside, leading for the next 15 laps until Anderson was able to sneak by. Waters grabs 2nd, Koschik 3rd, and Malone 4th, until the final caution flew with 11 laps to go...a sprint to the finish!

Waters led the field, with Anderson 2nd, Koschik 3rd and Malone 4th, and when the green flag flies, Anderson gets a run on the outside lane and takes the lead for the final time. Malone slips past for 2nd, with Waters, Koschik, and Palmer rounding out the top 5. Jim Whaley would recover from earlier trouble that put him 2 laps down to finish on the lead lap in 6th place. With TJ Christ's troubles, Anderson pulled 16 points out in front in the championship race. Can TJ recover from this and battle back?

WINNER: Justin Anderson

2nd: Trevor Malone

3rd: Michael Waters

4th: Mark Koschik

5th: Michael Palmer
