Michael Allen Takes the Checkered Flag at Phoenix!!

Making a triumphant return to the Sure Fire Racing league, the #59 of Michael Allen takes home the win along with a year's worth of all the hamburgers that he can eat as the winner of the Hamburglar 125 at Phoenix. In the books as one of Sure Fire's worst races, drivers and fans alike were disappointed as this 125-lap race had 16 cautions for a total of 63 caution laps, leaving only 62 laps of racing.

Due to the problems that iRacing has caused themselves this week and not being able to fix their problems, it has also caused problems and has made it nearly impossible to watch the replay in order to give you a write up on the Hamburglar 125. I don't recall the default set being this bad at Phoenix, but it was a lousy set. Ill-handling cars was the culprit to blame for all the professional drivers to have a day of racing that most of them would rather forget. That is, all but one! Michael Allen. Michael Allen will not forget this win for some time to come.

Michael whispered to me asking me if we got his Victory Lane winning photo and as I assured him that we had it, he whispered that this is probably going to be the only win that he will ever get with Sure Fire. Michael has ordered multiple copies of his picture, I'm sure to send out to all friends and families where he can boast that he has an official league win. But rest assured Mike, you have won one, there will be more to follow!

Sure Fire returns next week at the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Santa's Sleigh Ride 100.
