Whaley Lassos First Victory Of The Season!!!

The Sure Fire Racing Cup Series went to Texas for the Ha, DJ Didn’t Win the Championship 187. 15 Drivers qualified for this race and DJ Brasfield started from the pole. Would not be long when caution 1 of 2 waves on lap 13 as the 71 of Monty Selsor spins out of turn two and comes to rest on the inside wall midway down the back stretch.

Green flag out and the engines roar to life but just 10 laps later the last caution flies for the 51 of Yves Gallagher self-spins out of turn in front of the leader.

Green waves and the battle for the lead heats up as DJ Brasfield would get caught up in an accident with Carson Poe. This leaves the most laps led award to Jim Whaley Jr as well as his first win this season. Matthew Quick would hold on to a loose Chevy SS but crossed the line for 2nd. Monty Selsor would repair his car and back out for the 3rd spot. DJ Brasfield had to do some quick repairs on pit road but would wind up 4th. Robert Underwood fighting a loose car as well would round out the top 5.
