Spearman Strikes Again!!!!

The Friday Night Thunder Series went to Richmond Virginia for the Bojangles Southern 75 at Richmond International Raceway. 18 Drivers made the field in the NASCAR Whelen Tour Modified’s. The green flag falls but not long on lap two where the 7 of James Linkiewicz get into the 14 of Shane Gross out of turn four spinning him.

Caution flag two flies as the 55 of TJ Christ hits the outside wall out of turn two checking up the outside line on lap 7. Then a chain reaction from this has the 1 of Robert Underwood correcting TJ’s out of control car but behind him the 64 of Alex Halinor gets hit by the 05 of Todd Cousins turning him into the outside wall on the back stretch collecting the 89 of Matthew Quick, the 24 of Anthony Fowler, 21 of Phil Ledone and the 31 of Paul Bojczuk Jr. The 07 of Andrew Hill was forced down pit road but he clipped the Water Barrels.

Caution 3 flies on lap 20 as the 14 of Shane Gross bumps the outside wall out of turn four and deflects into the 77 of Jason Spencer.

Caution 4 on lap 31 has the 03 of Cody Griffin and the 8 of Andre Beaudoin bump and spin coming out of turn four.

Final caution on lap 41 saw the 73 of Justin Anderson bumping the 64 of Alex Halinor out of turn two.

Nothing but green to the checkers as Ty Spearman dominated the race taking the win on lap 75. TJ Christ crossed the line 2nd. Todd cousins took 3rd with Robert Underwood behind him in 4th and Andre Beaudoin rounding out the top 5.
