A QUICK end to Anderson's Winning Streak!
The Sure Fire Racing Cup Series was back at Daytona for the Coke Zero 200. 30 Drivers qualified for the race but the first caution flew on lap 8. The 17 of Haydon Pasterius Hooks the 24 of Michael Blood out of turn 2 and the 088 of David Desaulniers Barley makes it past and continues on.
Caution 2 flies on lap 14 as the 194 spins the 9 of Leonardo Barcellos at the start finish line but this time the 088 of David Desaulniers side swipes the 194 as he tried to avoid the crash.
Caution 3 close behind as the 05 of Todd Cousins moves down on the 27 of Terry Walters causing him to spin coming out of turn 4.
The 4th and final caution flew on lap 31 as the 6 of Ted Rekich collects the 56 of David Watts in turns 1 and 2. Also collected in the crash was the 40 car of Jim Whaley Jr, the 27 of Terry Walters, the 30 of S J Morgan and the 24 of Michael Blood.
The green flag stayed out for the remaining 49 laps and the battle for the win came down to fuel mileage. Matthew Quick known for his Superspeedway Races take the checkers on lap 80 for the win. Right on his bumper was Justin Anderson who would settle for 2nd and break his winning streak. TJ Christ would have to pit with 1 lap to go along with DJ Brasfield and settle for 3rd and 4th. Mark Maffet would round out the top 5.
